Following the well-received republication in 2007 of the first volume, Marrowbones, work subsequently began on the second volume, The Wanton Seed. Both of these volumes were edited by the late Malcolm Douglas. It was during his work on The Wanton Seed that Malcolm was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and sadly passed away in 2009.
Now preparations for the republication of The Wanton Seed are almost complete. The work was continued by Malcolm’s friends and associates, both as a tribute to the great man that he was and pursuing the vision of putting a valuable resource in the hands of folk singers.
The anticipated date of publication is May 2015, with any profits to be split between the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library (VWML) and Macmillan Cancer Support, once the cost has been underwritten.
