Ballad Chat

Cecil Sharp House, London

Join these friendly informal discussions about folk ballads.

You are welcome to sing, bring along a recording, or just come to listen. The sessions start simply; asking what people think the ballad is about, what they like about it, where the ballad comes from and the different versions that exist.

Ballad to be discussed: Captain Ward and the Rainbow (Child 286, Roud 224) plus a singaround, and general talk about ballads.

Please note the earlier start time - 6.30pm.
