London Fiddle Convention

Cecil Sharp House, London

Celebrating its 25th year, The London Fiddle Convention is the most important date in every London fiddler’s calendar: a chance to meet friends, learn new tunes, see some amazing playing and buy some fiddle stuff. You'll rarely meet so many fiddlers in one place!

There will be a series of afternoon workshops, a fiddle contest, session in the bar and an evening concert featuring a wide range of performers. You don't have to be a fiddle player, the concert is open to everyone and you're guaranteed a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and a great set of performances. On the concert bill this year are Jaya Hanley and Sarah James (Scottish); Sam Proctor (Irish); Ben Somers String Band featuring Marius Pibarot (bluegrass); Nicolas Magriel (Indian); Gundula Gruen (Balkan); Pete Cooper (Old Time/Scottish) and Chris Haigh (jazz).
