Who is it for?

Suitable for adult singers over the age of 16 and for all abilities. Material is taught by ear.


What can I learn?

Explore choral folk song arrangements in a relaxed and friendly environment without the pressure of public performance.

Who leads the choir workshops?

The autumn term Monday Folk Choir Workshops will be led by Aimée Leonard.

Aimée Leonard is from Orkney and has been involved in folk music from childhood. Previously, Aimée performed all over the world with the band ‘Anam’ and released several albums with them through the JVC label. She is an experienced workshop leader and regularly works as a singing teacher, musical director and song collector. She has a passion for ensemble singing and has led folk choirs since 2005 including the Song Shop Women’s Choir from Orkney and presently the Dulwich Folk Choir in South East London. Aimée runs workshops which are relaxed, informative and confidence building for every participant.
