Fun With Folk

 

A fun-filled course of folk dance, music and song for children aged 6 – 8 years old.

 

Who is it for?

Aimed at all children aged 6 - 8 years old; no previous experience of folk song or dance is required – just plenty of energy!

This course is designed to encourage physical confidence and creativity, but most of all to have great fun with folk dance, music and song. All sessions are accompanied by live music.

 

What can my child learn?

Children will be introduced to a variety of traditional dances, songs and music, with previous courses including morris dancing, molly dancing and even broom dancing! 

They will learn dances, with the opportunity to add their own creativity, accompanied by live music and plenty of props, as well as traditional English folk songs. The course concludes with participants performing their new skills to family and friends.
