Bryony is the cover feature in the Winter 2014 issue of English Dance & Song magazine, and the subject of the regular ‘Singer, Song and Source’ feature. The featured song is ‘Wild, Wild Berry’ – which has similarities to the ballad ‘Lord Randall’, although it is a distinct song. Allan Wilkinson has written about Bryony’s varied folk music career, while Gwilym Davies considers the original singer of the song, Ray Driscoll, tracing his life from his birth in Ireland, through to him living in London and Shropshire and Second World War service in the Royal Navy, picking up songs wherever he went.
