Trad Night: Mary Humphreys & Anahata

- (Doors: 7pm)

Cecil Sharp House, London

Described at a gig recently as “the accessible face of traditional song and music” they try to ensure that their green credentials are second to none.

They have tunes and songs that come from many sources including the wonderful music of East Anglia, and have recycled them with a Fenland flavour.

As avid ceilidh musicians they are not averse to throwing in a Playford or even earlier tune to the mix, just to keep up the excitement.

They play concertinas (English and Anglo), melodeons (2 and one-row) banjo and cello.

Promoted by EFDSS.
