The Examined Life: Philosophy as the love of wisdom

Cecil Sharp House, London

Philosophy as understood by the Platonic tradition was not only a way of life, but an inner path - a means for discovering and bringing into conscious activity the “divine part of the human.”

The basis of the tradition was the affirmation that truth resides within the soul - the very core of human selfhood - and that this truth is the key to a good, wise and beautiful life. This tradition lives on and these Monday evening sessions are an exploration of that affirmation.
