Steps for Success: English Social Folk Dance Today will be a practice-sharing national event for everyone involved in, or interested in, English social folk dance. We’ll be asking the questions: ‘What helps English social folk dance to thrive? What are the barriers to success and how can they be overcome?’
This will be a lively day with participation from callers, organisers, dancers, teachers, leaders and musicians who work with country, ceilidh, Playford, contra, barn dance and other forms of social dance in clubs, schools, community centres and other settings.
We’ve launched a call for content including case study presentations, practical workshops, advice sessions and panel discussions. If you would like to offer one of the above, or have any ideas or suggestions for the conference, please email [email protected] by Friday 22 September 2017. We look forward to hearing from you.
