Between Tuesday 1 and Friday 4 April inclusive the lift at Cecil Sharp House will be out of service due to essential planned maintenance work. Please note that during this period there will be no step-free access to the building, or between floors, and at times there will be construction noise.

The Full English: professional development one day course

As part of The Full English project, supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund, the English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS) is hosting a professional development course at Cecil Sharp House on Monday 31 March. This one-day event will demonstrate the successful use of folk music to enhance learning in the school curriculum from key stages 1 - 3, inspired by The Full English digital archive of manuscript materials. On 9 April Derby-born singer and multi-instrumentalist Lucy Ward will bring her album launch tour to London along side her band, featuring O'Hooley & Tidow, Joy Gravestock (fiddle), Sam Pegg (bass) and Steve Maclachlan of The Willows (percussion).
