Learn folk songs from England, the British Isles and beyond

Who is it for?

Suitable for adult singers over the age of 16 and for all abilities. Material is taught by ear.

What can I learn?

Explore choral folk song arrangements in a relaxed and friendly environment without the pressure of public performance.

 

When does it take place?

Mondays at Cecil Sharp House, 7 - 9pm

The academic year will run from September 2017 - July 2018.

Autumn Term 2017: Mondays 18 Sept | 2, 16 Oct | 6, 20 Nov | 4 Dec

Spring Term 2018: Mondays 15, 29 Jan, 5, 19 Feb, 5, 19 March

Summer Term 2018: Mondays 16, 30 April, 21 May, 4, 18 June, 2, 16 July


Fees

Termly fee: £60 | £48 concessions*

 

Who leads the choir workshops?

The Autumn term Monday Folk Choir Workshops will be led by Maz O'Connor.

The Spring term Monday Folk Choir Workshops will be led by Hazel Askew.

The tutor for the Summer term Monday Folk Choir Workshops will be announced shortly.

Refunds: all courses are non-refundable unless the course is cancelled by EFDSS.

*Concessions are available to people who are in full-time education; in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance; in receipt of Income-Based Benefit (such as Income Support, Housing or Council Tax Benefit, Working Tax Credit, Pension Credit).
