As a charity, we rely on your support to deliver our national programmes of music, dance, education and artistic development.
There’s never been a better time to support folk. Every donation you make between now and 2019 is matched by Arts Council England – so you can double your gift without having to do anything extra!
If you would like to support the next generation of folk artists, there are several ways you can help us.
EFDSS’ National Youth Folk Ensemble is more than just a wonderful band of musicians: it’s also a major outreach initiative, through which we can work with young people who may otherwise have no access to folk music at all. It’s very important to EFDSS that we are able to expand this project, and now we need your help for it to grow.
Thanks to your support, in 2016 we were able to re-open the restored Kennedy Hall here in Cecil Sharp House. We’re absolutely delighted that future generations will be able to enjoy the building as so many previous ones have, and if you haven’t danced on the new dancefloor yet, we hope you soon will!
Our restoration work continues – click here to find out how you can help.
Recently, thanks to the incredible generosity of supporters leaving gifts to EFDSS in their wills, we have been able to create a dedicated archive space in the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library, install a lift in Cecil Sharp House, employ a Dance Development Manager, and much more.
